How to Get Gold Fast in Soulbound Online — 6 Proven Methods
Gold is the primary currency in Soulbound: Online — it pays for trading, gear upgrade fees, crafting fees, station rentals and everything on Pixelbay, the player marketplace. All of this is grounded in the official wiki’s Gold page and Money-making Guide; we’ve organized it into a practical ladder for getting gold, from day-one basics to advanced economy play. No real money required. (Fresh off the tutorial island? Start with the new player gold guide — it covers your very first coins.)

1. Forage and mine into the Instant Exchange
The simplest faucet in the game: gather resources and convert them straight to gold through the Instant Exchange. Foraging targets are Sap, Flickfern, Fibre and Seeds; mining gives Iron, Copper and Coal. Rates are modest, but the input is nothing but time — and while you’re out gathering you’re also stockpiling the exact materials the crafting methods below want.
2. Run Pioneer’s Guild contracts
Contracts from the Pioneer’s Guild are the game’s core repeatable money-maker, and quests and chests pay out gold alongside them. Treat contracts as your baseline daily loop: they scale with progression, they’re reliable, and they stack naturally with dungeon running.
3. Farm the Virelda Arena
Soulbound’s roguelite dungeon runs pay in loot as much as raw coin. The Virelda Arena is the standout: clear runs produce sellable drops, and the best-in-slot pieces you don’t need are exactly what other players pay serious gold for on Pixelbay (see method 5).
4. Craft for NPC vendors — the numbers
The wiki lists concrete vendor prices that make brewing and cooking two of the most predictable incomes in the game:
- Vials sell for 40g, flasks for 80g
- Health stims fetch 180g
- Cooked foods range from 15g up to 250g
Because you can gather every input yourself (method 1), the margin is nearly pure profit. Find a recipe whose ingredients you can loop efficiently and batch-produce — a stack of health stims is a very respectable hourly rate for a low-attention activity.
5. Trade on Pixelbay
The player marketplace is where the real money is. Two approaches:
- Sell your surplus: best-in-slot gear from Virelda runs, rare drops, batch-crafted consumables.
- Flip: buy underpriced listings and relist at market rate. Player-to-player trades are free with no transaction fees, which makes margins unusually friendly compared to MMOs that tax every sale.
Learn what things are actually worth before flipping — a few days of watching prices beats any tip list. Our Pixelbay guide covers how the auction house and Instant Exchange set prices.
6. Advanced: Gold Bonds via liquidity pools
Soulbound’s most unusual economic system: deposit resources into AMM liquidity pools and you earn Gold Bonds, a reward currency that’s tradable between players and redeemable for gold with Clyde, the AMM banker in the Desat Bank in Arcadia City. If you’re stockpiling resources anyway, bonding them can out-earn dumping everything on the Instant Exchange — compare both routes for your resource mix. (Seed Bonds exist too, but their redemption hasn’t been revealed yet — hold them at your own judgment. See all currencies on the wiki’s Currency page.)
Status note (July 21, 2026): the wiki currently states “AMM Trading is unavailable for now, PixelBay is the new trading platform in Soulbound” — so this method is paused until Spiderware switches the AMM back on. How the whole system works (LP tokens, slippage, impermanent loss) is covered in our Gold Bonds guide.
Or skip the grind — with eyes open
Some players decide their evenings are worth more than the grind and buy gold instead. If that’s you, know two things: it carries real account risk, and prices between sellers differ more than you’d expect — our hourly price comparison exists precisely because of that spread. Earn it or buy it, just don’t overpay for it.
