Soulbound Hemlock Guide — Foraging, Chemistry & Profit

Hemlock is one of those unglamorous materials that quietly powers a whole profit loop. If you’ve picked up a Foraging contract or wondered what feeds the Chemistry Table’s damage line, this is the herb in question. Here’s everything the official wiki documents about Hemlock, organized for players who think in gold per hour.

What is Hemlock?

Per the wiki, Hemlock is “a Raw Material” that “can be obtained from Hemlock” nodes while foraging, granting “6 Foraging XP per Hemlock dropped.” So every gather pays you twice: material in the bag, XP toward higher foraging tiers.

The Chemistry chain it feeds

Hemlock’s whole purpose is the Chemistry Table’s damage line, and the wiki documents the full recipe ladder:

Item Hemlock needed Chemistry level
Damage Vial 2+
Damage Flask 12+
Damage Stim 24+

The pattern mirrors the consumable tiers we’ve covered before: per the wiki’s documented vendor pricing, vials sell for 40g, flasks for 80g, and health stims for 180g (full table in the gold guide). One honest gap: those published prices are for the consumable classes generally — the wiki doesn’t yet publish the damage variants’ exact sale prices, so verify at a vendor before batch-crafting. We don’t guess numbers here.

Three ways to turn Hemlock into gold

  1. Craft and sell. The classic loop: forage Hemlock (free input, only time), craft at a Chemistry Table, sell the output. Higher tiers need higher Chemistry — the 5× Hemlock Damage Stim at Chemistry 24+ is the ceiling of the documented chain.
  2. Sell the raw material. Bulk raw materials are what the Instant Exchange exists for, and combat crafters who hate foraging are what Pixelbay exists for. Watch which channel pays better — prices there are “shaped dynamically by players.”
  3. Stack it with contracts. Foraging is one of the wiki’s own recommended day-one contract types — “head north to Virelda Outskirts for plants and ores” — so a Hemlock run can pay contract gold and leave you holding the materials. Double-dipping is the whole art of Pioneer’s Guild contracts.

Where to farm it

The wiki doesn’t yet publish a node map for Hemlock specifically. What it does document: foraging targets live in the overworld, and the Virelda Outskirts (north of the starting town — see the map) is the documented early foraging ground. When the wiki adds node locations, this guide gets them.

The bigger picture

Hemlock is a small window into how Soulbound’s economy is meant to work: gather → craft → sell, with every step priced by players rather than a cash shop. If that loop appeals to you, the full gold guide covers all six documented earning methods — and if you’d rather skip the herb-picking entirely, well, that market exists too.
