Soulbound Pioneer's Guild Contracts – Daily Gold by the Numbers

If Pixelbay is where Soulbound’s gold changes hands, the Pioneer’s Guild is where a lot of it enters the world. The official currency page lists gold as “Rewarded by the Pioneer’s Guild through Contracts” — which makes the Guild taskboard the closest thing Soulbound has to a daily paycheck. This guide covers the numbers: permits, payouts, the refresh fee, and how it all adds up.

What Are Pioneer’s Guild Contracts?

The Pioneer’s Guild is “a central hub for resistance efforts in Virelda,” and its taskboard hands out short, repeatable jobs — gathering, combat, crafting — that pay out on turn-in. The wiki’s getting-started page frames them as the natural background hum of playing: “completing them as you go is a great way to earn rewards while progressing naturally through the game.”

They’re one of six earning methods we cover in the broader earning guide; this is the depth treatment.

The Permit System: 10 Per Day, Capped at 60

Contracts run on Pioneer Permits, and the math is refreshingly simple. Per the Pioneer’s Guild wiki page:

  • “Players receive 10 Pioneer Permits automatically each day”
  • “Each Contract costs 1 Pioneer Permit”
  • “Permits are capped at a maximum of 60”
  • “Players can have up to 5 Active Contracts at the same time”

The getting-started page confirms the ratio bluntly: “10 Pioneer Permits are granted each day. 1 Pioneer Permit = 1 Task,” with the daily grant tied to the server refresh at 0:00 UTC.

The 60 cap means you can bank six days of permits before you start losing income. Skip a weekend, fine. Skip a week, and day seven’s 10 permits evaporate against the cap. If gold matters to you, log in at least once every six days — even just to burn permits down.

How Much Gold Do Contracts Pay?

Rewards vary by task type. The wiki lists the pool as “Gold, Food, Skill EXP, 50 Yoku Energy, Upgrade materials” — so not every contract is a gold contract, and that matters for the routine below.

For the ones that do pay gold, we have one hard number: the leveling guide’s mining contract loop says “Return and earn 250 Gold” per turn-in, plus “500 EXP per cycle.” Turn-ins are instant — per the getting-started page, you “instantly receive your reward,” gold included. No mail delay, no escrow.

Honesty check: 250g is documented for that mining loop specifically. Whether every contract type pays exactly 250g isn’t stated anywhere official we can find, so treat 250g as a reference point, not a guarantee. If all 10 daily permits landed gold contracts at that rate, the ceiling is 2,500g per day, or roughly 17,500g per week. Real days will land under that, because some slots pay food, EXP, or materials instead.

The 50g Taskboard Refresh: When It’s Worth It

Both the Guild page (“The taskboard can be refreshed for a small gold fee (50g)”) and the leveling guide (“Use 50 Gold to refresh the contract board”) agree: a reroll costs 50g.

Against a 250g turn-in, the math is friendly. If a refresh swaps one non-gold task for a gold one, you’re up roughly 200g. If the board is already decent, don’t reroll for the sake of it — a refresh that replaces one 250g contract with another is 50g burned. Reroll bad boards, keep good ones.

A Repeatable Daily Contract Routine

  1. Log in after 0:00 UTC and collect your 10 permits.
  2. Scan the board. Reroll (50g) only if it’s heavy on rewards you don’t want.
  3. Take up to 5 contracts, batch them by location, and clear them.
  4. Turn in, repeat with the remaining permits.

For contract picks early on, the getting-started tips are direct: “Grab Foraging and Mining Contracts, then head north to Virelda Outskirts for plants and ores!” and “Avoid Gearforging tasks. You will need gold for other things - you can forge later!” Gathering contracts have a bonus, too: the materials you collect en route can go straight to Pixelbay for a second payout.

The Weekly and Monthly Vendors at the Guild

The taskboard isn’t the Guild’s only draw. Per the wiki, “The Guild also hosts the Monthly Vendor and Weekly Vendor, who offer limited-time cosmetics in exchange for Event currencies.” Note the currency: these vendors want event currencies, not gold, so they’re a reason to swing by — not a gold sink. (Where gold actually goes is its own guide.)

Contracts vs Buying Gold: The Time Math

Say your daily contract haul averages 1,500–2,500g depending on board luck. Reaching 10,000 gold — the unit every seller prices in — takes roughly four to seven days of dailies. Whether that trade is worth it is personal: contracts also pay EXP, Yoku energy, and materials, so the gold is never the whole reward.

If you’d rather compare that week of dailies against a cash price, the live comparison table shows what sellers currently charge per 10k — and if you go that route, read the safety guide first. Either way, burn your permits. The 60 cap doesn’t forgive.
